We’re proud to share that Westaway has been named one of Inc.’s 2023 Power Partners. The Power Partner Awards honor B2B companies with a proven track record of supporting entrepreneurs and helping startups grow.
What makes this award meaningful to us is how it’s decided. Winners are chosen in part on feedback from their own clients. So this one belongs to the founders who took the time to put in a good word for us. Thank you.
We won in six categories. Four are the legal work founders hire us for: Legal (General), Corporate Law, Employment Law and IP Law. The other two are AI and Data (General) and AI and Data (Generative AI Integration). Those are categories you don’t expect to see a law firm win, and they’re the ones we’re proudest of.
Law isn’t an industry known for embracing new technology. Most firms still bill by the hour, which gives them little reason to work faster. We’ve taken the opposite approach. We apply AI to raise the quality and consistency of our work and to turn it around faster, and a lawyer is in the loop every step of the way. Founders get the speed of the technology and the judgment of an experienced attorney.
Founders move fast, and their legal work has to keep up. Used well, technology means less time waiting on routine work and more time on the strategy that moves a company forward. It’s the same idea behind our flat fees and our General Counsel subscription: legal built around the way founders actually work.
This award joins Fast Company’s recognition of our General Counsel service as a World Changing Idea in 2021 and of Westaway as one of its Most Innovative Companies in 2022. We’re grateful for all three.
